Bringing in another DS3 and breaking out to DS1‘s with a different carrier and looking at some multiplexer’s. Has anyone here used the Adtran 2800 (4205290L9) and if so how was it for ease of installation?

We have the 2800 but unfortunately I wasn't around for the install. I will say it is rock solid, and doesn't look tough to install.

I have 2 sites with Adtran 2800, both are easy to install and configure. Run for many years.

Thanks I was looking at that or the Total Access 3000/3010.
Adtrans descriptions are a little strange.

MX2800 - to convert 28 T1’s to a DS3
Total Access 3000 – to convert a DS3 to 28 T1’s

Aren’t both units really doing the same thing?

Ok got my mx2800 today and just looking through the install guide it only shows where to set the line coding for each DS1. So I assume for a PRI it’s the carrier telling which DS1 circuits are carrying the D-Channels? Is this correct or am I missing something?
