Have Avaya S8700. When programming DS1s for T1s, what is the guideline you use to determine if slip detection should be set to n or y? Thanks.

Signaling Mode: isdn-ext
Slip Detection? n

You should only have to turn slip detection "on" if you are experiencing slips. DS1 Test 144 is the slips test. This logic has always worked for me.

Slip Detection: "y" if this DS1 is Primary or Secondary Synchronization Source, otherwise set to "n". I pulled this from jaymzworld site and it works for me
