WHy do we get error types 1281,2049,3073,1300,1793,2049,2305 and how do we resolve it? We have s8300 as ICC with g700 CM 3.01.
Is there any Avaya documentation for resolving this alarms?

Thanks in advance.

Please help me how to clear these DS1 alarms..

1281= Loss Of Signal
1793= Blue Alarm
2049= Red Alarm
3073= Slips
1300= LOS
2305= Yellow Alarm

thanks.

Thanks...

does the board needs to be in busied out state in order to 'test board'?

It does not need to be busied out to test, but I think what Reynolds723 was trying to tell you is to busy the board out, then release it, to see if that helps with the problem. Test the board immediately after releasing it and check the error log and the alarm table and compare the codes in the documentation. The library I sent you the link on has thousands of pages of info, so I am not sure why you say it is not in detail. Download the library, then under Product List, Communication Manager, look under Maintain, there are 3 things you can click on, Alarms, Commands and Procedures for Communication Manager, start in chapter 5 on the Alarms document to see what the errors you are seeing are and how to troubleshoot from there. If you are going to test the board and have entries in your alarm table, the other 2 documents will be very helpful. Like I said before, the info is not easy to find, but it is in there. It takes patience and perseverance, but you will find it.

Good Luck, I know it can be frustrating, but if it was too easy, we would not have jobs.

yes mgraval got the idea of what I was suggesting. The USDS1 test descriptions will give you a good idea of what's causing your issue and some possible resolutions. I would also as a matter of course physically check the patching between the DS1 board and your suppliers NTE it's very possible that it's just a patching issue or that for some reason that circuit has lost connectivity with the far end. Also you could do a "display synchronisation port-network x" for the PN the DS1 is in and see what synch sources you have, if none are defined do a "change sych..." and set a primary and secondary synch source.
