DS Module

Hi All,

I'm not all that familiar with the Norstar, I work mainly with the Meridian series PBX's. I have a client who has a small branch office that has a Norstar. The DS module (nt7875gb-93) is defective and I need to replace it. If I power down the system and swap out the card, will anything (programming) be lost? All advice would be greatly appreciated!

you should be fine... but Murphy has a way of biting you in the *ss. Whenever possible do a backup before you remove power to system.

I know how to log into the system, how do I do a backup?

You would need a FRAD unless it is a CICS with IRAD enabled. Both are forms of remote access. With these you can use Norstar Remote Utilites - NRU, to perfrom a backup.
