I am setting up a STARTALK AAT (2.0.4K) on a 824DS DR5 KSU. Can somebody explain the interaction of DRT to VM verses the STARTALK ring counters per line?

Does one take presidence over the other? Is it better to use the STARTALK ring count over the KSU DRT?

This setup requires the AAT to pickup calls when no one is available to answer the phone after 5 rings. The documentation I have does not cover any interactions or explanations of these features for this situation.

Thanks in advance!

The DRT is there as a backup in case the person answering the call can not. Then after so many rings it will go to someone else. If you have the DRT and AA set to lets say 4 rings normally the AA is faster and will get the call. Hope this helps

U can use either DRT prime 2 VM DN or ring count, doesn't really matter. I like DRT because u can leave ring set @defaut 0 & a line as bkdoor AA can ans immed.
