Hello,
I created an index on top of a table that is partitioned and had an index already.

However, when I drop my partition, which drops my original data and index, the new index does not get dropped. The index is locally managed.

Any ideas?

When the index is local, then it exists for each partition.

When you drop a partition, the index remains for each of the remaining partitions.

Yes I understand that. Example, I have a partition for the date of 4/15/2004. This has a DATA and INDEX partition, with an additional index on that. When i drop the partition for 4/15/2004, my original DATA and INDEX get dropped, but the additional index that I created remains for that date.
