We just got a new IP Office 403 a week ago and are having a few problems. It seems that the caller ID info and the routing numbers for DID randomly drop digits. In other words, sometimes we see eight or nine digits instead of all 10 on the display. Also, it seems to be dropping routing digits as well. For example, extension 1652 will come through as 162, and the system used to give a busy signal. I changed the routing to send all calls with invalid extensions to the main line. The vendor says the calls are coming in "too hot" from the provider. We have a T1 that is used for both voice and data. We have channels 1-8 set for voice with a type of "E & M - Tie". Any ideas? Sounds like a timing issue to me, but I do not know much about the system yet.

I think the "E&M Tie" setting is your problem. Try loopstart emulation.

Thanks Morrack. I will try that tonight after all of the users have left.
