I have noticed that lately our firewall log is showing a lot of dropped packets. What could be causing this? How can I track it down? Is this normal?

They are all broadcast packets. We run static i.p.s 192.168.0.XXX. The come from all the clients to 192.168.0.255.

Thanks in advance.

This sounds normal. Generally, you wouldn't want to allow broadcast packets through the firewall...unless of course, you had a special need to allow these.

Ok, it seems to be evenly spaced from all the clients. It just seems like we have had more lately than before.

Thanks,
