Drop use in conference call with 2420 set

I am trying to understand the use of drop while on a conference call. I have a customer running 2.1(35) with 2420 sets they would like to be able to drop specific callers out of an ad-hoc conference call.

What they are getting is they drop the whole conference call when they press Drop.

I know in previous releases on the 4400 series you could use the drop feature in the soft menu and pick and chose who you wanted to drop.

Does anyone know how to do this with a 2420? Can it be done ?

On version 3 this works with 5420/2420 handsets.

I prefer to use phone manager, right click on the numbers in the conference tab and hangup

In a conference the person they want to drop should just hang up. You will here a double beep to let you know that they have hung up.
