I have looked everywhere but cannot find XP drivers for an ACER 5520-5147. It was installed with Vista but user wanted XP. Any help from the community? I was able to locate a VGA driver but cannot find any others

As a second thought... Acer website only has Vista drivers

Try the European DL page:

it has XP drivers available...

Also note if it's a SATA notebook the SATA must be set in BIOS to "Standard IDE" or "Compatibility mode". Also have a look here:

This should be installed first. Supposedly once this is installed it will bring up the modem and sound devices in Device Manager, which can then be given the proper drivers. Thanks to Tim Conard of Geek Squad for this info.
