Help!

I am trying to install Redhat 7.1 on a machine with a Sony CDU76S CD rom SCSI. This worked with Redhat 6.2 but cannot detect under this new version. Is there anyway to get some appropriate drivers? I have tried redhat.com and sony-cp.com to no avail.

Thanx.

Hi,

Presumably you are booting from floppy and it can't find drivers for you scsi controller so therefore can't access any scsi devices such as CD. There was a problem in the 7.1 install with certain adaptec scsi cards --> .

Do you get any specific error messages ?

Regards

ifincham - thanks for yr response. I have now managed to get the CD detected via get the SCSI controller drivers working!

Thanks once again!
