drivers for cd burning software have been disabled.
please how do i get these warning bubbles to stop it is driving me mad

See if you can manually remove the program from Add or Remove in the Control Panel.

System Restore to before you installed it might work too.

Otherwise it is time to enter the Registry. A couple of stiff drinks might help.

315345 - "CD Recording Software Will Cause Windows to Become Unstable" error message when you start Windows XP

If you have to resort to the suggested Microsoft fix by Linney, you can do everything that it says till you get to the registry editing part and then use this tool which does the exact same registry editing

Usage: Download XP_CD-DVD-Fix.zip and save this file to your hard drive. Navigate to where you saved it and double click the file to extract the contents. Locate the EXE file you extracted and double click it. A confirmation dialog will appear when the script is done. You may need to reboot for the change to take effect.

This utility is only intended for Windows® XP. You may need Administrator level access to use this utility. If you do not have Administrator level access, the program will say it is finished, but will not have made any changes.

the patch dosnt seem to work even with the admin thing.
I am not useing pro do you think this may be the problem just straight ole xp

This is a XP problem, Home or Pro, caused by incompatible CD drivers. The messages will stop when drivers are removed or made compatible to XP through the manufacturer's site and any available version upgrades, updates or patches.

You could try repairing windows by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates (no problem if you substitute them with SP2) but your files and programs will be untouched.
