I have changed the drive letter of my win98 partition. Now all the file paths are wrong.
is there a software package that can correct this??

PartitionMagic has a DriveMapper utility - Easily and automatically update drive letter references after adding, merging, splitting or deleting partitions.

How did you manage to change win98 partition drive letter? With respect to what? (when Win98 boots, it is active partition, and C: drive is where system files are). Are you talking about dual boot where win98 partition is drive x: in another o/s? (like 2k/XP). In 2k/XP you can use disk administrator to change drive letters.

I have managed to restore my comouter to how it was last night using a partition magic boot disk.

the problem arose as when I last installed win98 I swapped my partitions in fdisk by accident I then installed win98 onto the D: partition.

last night I formatted the C: partition.

the computer then wouldn't boot, so using pm boot disk I swapped D: to C: and reinstalled on C:

I have now swapped back and reinsatlled the missing boot files, but I think will just to a clean reinstall on the C: drive for easier computing in the future.

Thanks for your help
