I receive this error message on several servers that I am backing up. I am running WINNT 4.0 on all servers with service pack 6a. It will then proceed to appear like it backed up the drive because it says backed up and lists a large number, but the job fails?

I'm getting the same error. I'm backing up NT 4.0 servers w/SP6a. I've not found anything on Veritas site that offers any help at all.

I had a similar problem. I got a "job failed" yet practically all my files were backed up. After reviewing the log file, I noticed that it wasn't attaching to a file that no longer existed. Why it was even looking for it, I don't know but when I created a dummy file with the same name, my backups became successful. I didn't really solve the problem but I did create a workaround.
