Drive mappings appear by themselves

We have a user on Win2k Pro and during the day she gets multiple drive mappings appear. All are to the same resource on one of our servers. By the end of the day, all the letters are used up. I opened "My Computer" and watched them appear every few seconds, we were doing nothing else.
Any suggestions?

Hi BV,

try disabling FINDFAST...it's a pain and scrounges CPU.
