Has anyone seen dell arrays have a failed drive but the system never failed the drive or alerted anyone to the failure? IE no amber light...

I am having the same problem. Array manager is telling me the array has been degraded but when i try to find out what disk has the problem disk maangement says all disk are ready. This morning is came in and had the failing drive blinking light on the front of the server but all the disks are blinking green. This is driving me nuts......

Just a question but are the containers scrubbing. When you post and if it says the container is scrubbing then the array manager will call that degraded even though the drive has not failed.

I ended up having to rebuild. could not determine status of second container in ctrl-a. status was please wait. dell tech had me remove drives change from raid to scsi and bak again insert the drive and same thing. I had a felling this was going to happen. thanks for the response
