Does anyone know why the floppy drive gets accessed everytime Windows95 shutsdown? There are no error messages or any problems, I just want to know if there is a way to disable it. It sounds like it is checking for a disk exactly the same as when the PC boots. I recently reinstalled Windows95 and I don't remember it doing that before I reinstalled it.

Have you installed an antivirus software?
Norton Antivirus mades floppy drive acts as your drive does when Windows shutsdown.
Uninstall it and try!

JMartin
I found the option in my virus checker where I could turn off checks at shutdown and it took care of it. Thanks
