Has anyone had the problem where you can drill on a report in desktop but in web you cannot? We are on 7.2.3, and in the web version I go to Data - Drill and get the popup box DRILL FROM XXXX TO XXXX; however, the option box is empty or has -none-. Is this something in the administrative setup of web or is this a setting or something else?? I have no idea.

Thanks!

Is it associated with a Drill Map? Maybe the priority of the drill map is not set to "High" and needs to be so. Alternatively check the user settings and ensure that the users have the ability to drill in Web.

The report is associated with a drill map. I set the priority to HIGH and tested it in web and still nothing. The user security role has web drill, advanced web drill, and drill on metrics checked to allow. ??

Thanks!

I would check to see what security previlege the user has. Under Administration/User Manager/. Web drilling is a previlege you can set through at user level, user group level, or through Security Role.

make sure object and report caches are blown away...try again.

However, you may have encountered a defect in MicroStrategy.

TN5600-723-0871 tells you whether or not this applies to you and how to resolve it.

We discovered with help of MSTR onsite consultant that the issue is our I-server being on Windows 2003 which is supported but not certified. This won't be an issue with 7.5.1 which we will have when it is released.

Thanks for the help!

I'm told by my MSTR regional rep about 2 weeks as of this Tuesday via email.

We upgraded to 7.5.1 on 5/5/04 and we still cannot do web drilling with Windows 2003 server. Tech Services has a senior engineer on the problem. It does work with Windows 2000 server. Anyone else having same issues???
