i have a main report where i get a list of customers with some data, i have also written a another report which uses pivot tables to get similar information.

i have inserted the second report as sub report ( In group footer ) so that it can be used as a drilldown.

My problem is that when i drill into the information i am unable display all the day in the second report.

data example

report 1

cust paper crs type

1 p1 0012 a
2 p2 0013 b

G1 - crs
G2 -cust

report 2

cust paper type Mark1 mark2

1 p1 c 10 20
2 p2 d 30 20

G1 - crs
G2 -cust

i have the pivot table inserted @ report footer and displays the information correctly - report2

what i want do is when drill down is press i want all the data to be displayed and not just for cust 1 or cust 2, i want the user to have the ability to export both sets of data separately

any help will be much appreciated

Sounds like you are looking showing/hiding detail within the main view rather than opening new drilldown tabs. I believe the only option for this is using a 3rd-party Crystal report viewer (see list at
You can see a 1-minute video of how my DataLink Viewer supports this type of In-Place DrillDown functionality at:

Hi,
I have a report which uses a command and filtering data by an ID in the command like ID = '{?Param_ID}'. I would like to display the corresponding name of the ID on the page header, so I wrote a formula like this:
if trim({Command.ID}) = TRIM({?Param_ID}) then {Command.NAME}
and placing this formula on the page header. The name is getting displayed on the 1st page but on the remaining pages (like 2nd,3rd and so on) it is not displaying the name. But if I place the parameter on the page header it is displaying the ID on all the pages. What is wrong in displaying the name? Is there any mistake in the formula..if so why is it displaying the name in the 1st page and not on the other pages?
Something urgent. Appreciate your help!
Thanks!
