Drill Down Details

Hi, I have constructed a Dril down WI report (BO 6.1) based on the following heir struct: Sch->Loc->PC->GL->EmpID. Column headings Sch | Measure1 | Measure2 | Measure3 etc
Now the thing is if I have some details associated with the EmpID i.e. Surname is it possible to have a new column at the end | Surname whch would only be populated when you have drilled down to the EmpID level. I don't think it is possible as when I have tried I keep getting the INF -217... error. But if I have done something wrong then I would be most greatful if anyone could point this out.

You have to get very clever with IF statements and the DrillFilters and NameOf functions.

I'll look around, but there is a solution for full-client on integrasolutions.net from a BO conference from a couple of years ago. However, it may not work for WebI.

Hi, thanks I have tried something along the lines of IF(length(DrillFilters([Emp_ID]) >0;[Surname];"") in the function, which worked in the dev area, it's when I put it live that each time I tried to drill down the error message kept cropping up. The strange thing is, that sometimes the error message might crop up pre drill down, then sometimes you could drill quite a way in before getting the error.

What version of 6.1 are you on? 6.1 was not a very good relase.

The BO is Business Objects 6.1b
6.1.021.2262

WebI is 6.1.021.2261

Sounds like we will just have to wait till we find some money down the sofa to get the next version...
