My company want a professional web site designing and developing and I reckon i may be able to do it.

The question is i know that using dreamweaver is easier than coding it yourself but are there any drawbacks to using html editors. What is the best way to go? Should i raw code the html or use dreamweaver? Can you put everything on your site with dreamweaver that you can when raw coding or does the raw coding offer more possibilities?

Any help much appreciated.

Database conectivity is a question that needs to addressed if you require it then Dreamweaver Ultradev is probably the easiest way forward.

You will then need to spend time learning the technology but hand coding experience will enable you to understand what is going on in the code. Live long and make your kids suffer..

Dreamweaver... Knowing the code is very important, but I can make lovely sites much faster with dreamweaver then in raw code. So know both but use dreamweaver...

thanks for the replies. i guess i'd best do it in dreamweaver but at the same time try to look at and understand the underlying code. A html book might be a good option.

There are thousands of basic introdutions to HTML on the net that are just as good as books and they are free.... Live long and make your kids suffer..
