I have Draytek routers running a LAN 2 LAN VPN at two sites, I have just recently started having problems with VOIP. The only problrm is Draytek charge a fortune for Tech Support? Does any one use Drayteks effectivley for Voip in the field? Or are their better routers with QOS to help me get my Voip working well again?

Any tips at all will be helpful

Cheers!

i've got a few running with drayteks

what problems are you having ?

The problems I am having are that the data between sites is okay as I am getting ringing but the voice is okay one minute and then when you dial an extension on SCN you get busy tone as if trunk is not available! They were working fine for six months now running really bad.

I have done the QOS bit and still the same.

Help, thinking of using those Kentrox Q1300 QOS

We have a couple of drayteks in the field.

What compression mode do you use ?
And how many channels are programmed with in the IP office?

We have tried all compression codecs. G711 8k at present
and we have a 4 VCM in the IPO

There is somthing "funny" with SCNs and drayteks, The voice is fine but the data does not get passed through. Does anyone have a fix for that?? I dont!! :(
