Hi, guys

I am new to AutoCAD. I have a question that has been bothering me for quite a long time, and I still haven't figured it out.

Most books or online tutorials say when drafting in Model space, one drawing unit should be set equal to one unit in real world, hence the term full size or full scale.

But none of the materials I read ever mentions exactly how to set one drawing unit in AutoCAD to be equal to one particular unit in real world.

So my question is exactly how a user would set one drawing unit to represent one cm , or foot in real world?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks, ctopher06.

INSUNITS seems to be the right command, even though I haven't completely figured out all the associated parameters.
