drawing flower

i drew a circle at the centre and drew a petal at the top

i wanted the petal to blend and copy and paste around the circle

is there a quick way of doing this?

like for instance if i wanted there to be 12 petals around the circle without copying, paste and arranging each one individually
i tried using make a blend option ... but it didnt work...
please help me

Select the Petal. Choose Rotate from the tool panel

Place the target like symbol in the center of the circle. Rotate and then press and hold ALT until it's in place, this should copy it.

The press CMD or CTRL D to duplicate the same around the whole circle.
