Hi, just wondering if it was possible to automatically draw a line underneath text. By doing so, I am able to export text to a shape file and have CAD create a .prj file so I can then reproject the newly created shape file in Arc View 3.2. I attach an object data to the line and have fields for text and text angle. This works well, but it would be a lot faster if I could somehow have the lines automatically drawn.
Thank you,

Yes it's possible. Are all text entities "text" vs "mtext" entities. Does the line have to be exact same length of text? Express Tools has command ("TCIRCLE")to enclose text in a circle, rectangle, etc -would this work?

Yes, this is the approach I started to use, there is an express tool that encloses text with a rectangle. Thanks for the response.

If you know VLISP, get the text bounding box and draw a line using the coordinates from the bounding box.

If using single line text mode begin your text with %%u and it will be underlined.
