Drag & Drop files into Public Folders

Good morning,

We've recently been experiencing problems when trying to drag & drop files into the public folders on our exchange server 5.5 from Outlook.

We 'used' to be able to drag and drop files into the public folders and then the file would be available directly in the public folder. Now what seems to be happening is that Exchange insists on putting the file into an email and then attaching it to the public folder. Therefore when a user tries to open the file, they first have to open the email, then open the attachment. The clients has full access to the public folders and as far as I'm aware nothing has changed in Exchange from when it was working successfully.

Would appreciate it if anyone could shed any light on this as it's becoming increasingly frustrating.

If you require any additional info, please ask.

TIA

Ben

Anyone have any ideas on this please as I still haven't managed to resolve it yet..?

Thanks
