hi everyone
i build an invoice print program... but the printing its some slow to print because de ttf fonts... any ideas on how to print the reports to the matrix printer in some old DOS fonts so the printing be more fast... i dosent matter if the invoice print in old DOS style... thanks in advance

HI

1. You can hack the report using the following code in FAQ
How to hack FRX file to strip printer driver information
faq184-581

2. Make sure that you have not set the individual items in the report with specific Fonts.

3. If you want to strip these on the fly..
** Then OPEN the report form as table..
USE myReportForm.FRX
REPLACE FontFace WITH "",FontStyle WITH 0,FontSIze WITH 0
USE

4. If you have not specified the FontFace and FontSTyle and choose Draft mode in Printer, the report output will follow that.

Hi Marvinjmd,

In addition to Ramani's good advice, you can speed things up a lot by making sure you use printer fonts rather than TrueType fonts.

In the report designer, select all the fields and labels, go to the Format / Font menu, and pick a printer font. You can recognise a printer font because either it has a small printer icon next to it, or it does not have the TT symbol next to it. The fonts in question will depend on your printer driver.

Give it a try, and let us know if it makes a difference.
