Usually happens when there is dial tone on that pair going to phone instead of a port extension.Try it plug a digital phone on there fax line see if it is the same as you have a problem with now.

He said plug a digital phone into your fax jack and see if same symptom.
In other words you may have mixed your amps up (digital ports with line ports).

When this occurs I think they are solid for a second or 2 then flash once quickly and repeats this cycle.

You didnt give much info but if the red light on the KSU is flashing and not the phones you may have a power issue.

Yea sorry about that. The flashing red light is on the ksu not the phones. The phones are dead. You think it's the power supply? I checked all the fuses. All I did was unplug the 25 pair connector for a sec.

Turn it off for about 5 minutes and unplug the amphenols and power it up,time for the thermal fuses to cool down.

I've seen this symptom and it sounds like the motherboard took a hit. It will need to be sent out for repair unless you're good at board level troubleshooting.

Okay. motherboard hit. Where do you send it to get fixed. Or is it better to just get another unit. Which got me to thinking When I first got this unit it did the same thing but it did start to work. Could this unit been defective out of the box(ebay)

With the price of stuff on eBay it might be cheaper to just buy another. You could try calling J&J Communications at 888-552-6665 to get a price. Disclaimer: J&J is my former employer.
