we have a traditional PBX which we link to our callmanagers using a Qsig gateway. We are having trouble geting the two systems to Pass Caller Name Indentification to each other.

we have been told that this may be a issue on 4.0 but could be resolved by V4.1 of CM.

We have also be advised that we should look into DPNSS rather than QSIG as an alternative.

HAs anyone got any experience in this.

I have experienced an Avaya Definity G3i connected to a CCM v3.3(3)sr4a via a private megastream using DPNSS and found that the caller information that is passed between the system is limited to the system vendors product.

i.e. the CCM will pass the callers extension number but not their name, whereas the Avaya will pass the callers name but not their extension (just a little annoying!).

I am however not sure if Cisco have change this with their most current version but one thing is for sure, DPNSS to a legacy PBX will pass caller information.

It depends on what you want to be seen. We have CM 4.12 conncted using ISO Qsig. to a Mitel SX2000 which in turn is connected via ISO Q Sig. to Nortel. There are isseu with Q SIg. CM but it provides names, alerting names, Path replacment, QSIG/DPNSS Diversion and MWI but no IMDivert or Call Back

Wayne,
Is it necessary to interconnect the gateway (26xx, VG200 or so) through MGCP protocol with CCM 4.12, or should all of these QSIG supplementary services work also if you connect the gateway with the CCM via H.323 ?

Thank you very much, Norbert

We have a Qsig set up ISO on our 4.12 conecting to a MItel SX2000 which in turns connects to a Nortel Symposium. We only need teh follwoing features

Name, CLI, MWI etc. If you are networking betwen CM and another PABX then unless you are concerned about pick up across a network, call back which is not supported on Mitel or centralised ops then it should be ok

Also I`ve been asked to find the ringtone for 24 CTU if so you have it ?

thanks

We have Siemens Hicom300 connected via QSIG with VG200, which is connected with CM 4.0 via H.323. Everything concerning call setup works fine, except for call diversions
and names ... It sounds for me that CM does not tunel QSIG supplementary services through H.323 at all ... we will obviously have to change H.323 for MGCP between VG200 and CM

I am sorry I don't have any ringtones ...
