Can someone Please explain what is going on with the DPI settings in XP?
I have a screen that is supposed to be 1680 x 1050 pixels with a screen that is roughly 13" x 8.25" ... this works out to be about 130 pixels per inch
I read 96dpi as being 96 dots per inch
The advanced screen settings 120dpi suggests 125% size enlargement (which seems to be the result but it doesn't make any sense that increasing the dpi should make an image larger)
This is where my mind is confused ... if I have an image that is 50 dots wide and I view it at 96dpi I expect it would be larger then if I viewed the same image at 120dpi
Why is something this simple so confusing?
