I have found HTTP server set up in companies QA development lab.
Server type: Virtual Windows Server 2008 R2
OS version: 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601
It has iis setup with files in inetpub/ directory. I had the DNS name changed by our network group so I know its working. I changed the firmware files to being testing. I cleared a phone registered to this HTTP ip addr and allowed it to boot with new files. The boots up properly with correct ip addr of http server but it does not update with correct firmware version. It stays at current level. But I am not sure how since that version no longer exist in that directory. What am I doing incorrect?

You are correct. I did not have the upgrade text file in the root directory. Once I placed it there the phone upgraded its files. Thanks for reply

IIS does not autocreate the file if it is not present like IPO does :)

Now that I have firmware and settings file in root directory and working I have one issue. I have a $GROUP 3 in settings file. I know phone is getting proper settings file becuase I see it access the name on display when booting. I also see it grab a logo text file it picks up from settings file (SET SCREENSAVERON). However, the phone is not implementing the GROUP or Screen Saver features. I have placed the group # in the extension form on ASA. When I manually check the phone after it boots I see the group designated in CRAFT menu. The phne is NOT taking the GROUP 3 settings or displaying the screensaver. Any suggestions on what I am doing incorrectly.

First of all if you're using ASA to configure your PBX you're in the wrong forum.

This is the IP Office forum and you have CM/Aura.

Second, if you're talking about the Loss Group setting in the extension form it has nothing to do with that, that to set the sound parameters.
GROUP is set on the phone itself in the CRAFT menu.
