A gentleman just asked me to pull a message he has out of his voicemail account and save it as a WAV file pending possible litigation. Personally, I've never done this before, but he said my predecessor has.

Is there a step-by-step on this procedure? Already have AVAYA Voice Player installed to do conversion on the LVP files, just need to know how to get them.

Thanks in advance (and sorry for all the questions you get from me!)

You can setup a "POP3" client on his outlook, and get them from the audix that way. Setup the IP address of the Audix as the "server", the username is his audix subscriber #, and the password is his audix password. Or you could setup "message manager" which can also download them.

FYI, they will be in LVP format, not WAV files.

How do I get ahold of Message Manager?

If not, will try the POP method - wasn't sure how that was facilitated, so thank you for the quick step-through.

The "Message Manager" CD's come with the Audix when you buy it...

Looking for them now, though gods know what closet its been shoved into here...

Adding the POP account didn't do anything...everything tests as far as receiving and such - but there's no messages I can seem to find in outlook with those settings. Is there a step I'm missing doing it that way? Send/Receive doesn't do anything either

it would have to be a "new message", and, you would have to have "POP3" enabled on the Audix as well, did you check that?

Yeah, I believe its all enabled, just that this isn't a "NEW" message, its in his old messages.

And I'd really love to see this message manager program...I have my sold toos, and am looking on avaya's site as well, any idea if it's on there for download?

Finally found Message Manager. However, I can't seem to get it to log in.

I know in SAT I use 10.140.1.67 to access the Intuity/AUDIX terminal emulator, is that the same IP address I should be using for MM? Or is there another?

Hi,

stumbled upon this thread and can get my audix to email new voicemails into my outlook which is great. What do i need to listen to these voicemails now on my pc.

Thanks

you need a copy of LVP or AVP with is Lucent/Avaya Voice Player. It's a free app that plays these files.

I believe you can download it at support.avaya.com

Yes, Moshimoshi, same IP address. You setup the POP3 client with that IP, the "user" is the audix subcriber #, the "password" is that mailboxes password...

Moshimoshi - the Message Manager Admin manual is located HERE on the Avaya website.

Mitch, Susan:

Thanks for the info/manual...but bugger this, message manager isn't connecting to that IP it looks like, and I never saw anything rolling into Outlook in the end, and since the old message can't be flagged as new again, it looks like I'm not getting this message out..

Out of curiousity...I normally log in with SA, is that the highest level user login? It always seems like, compared to these manuals, I'm missing (a lot) of options based around functionality/PMS (I was working on PMS link recently).

Man, my heads gettin' fried today, too many tough problems I don't have answers too haha..

Moshi, keep working on it. I got the player and it all works cool.

Let me know how you get on and I'll detail the exact steps i took if need be to help you out.

How about having the user forward the "old" message to himself and then it would become a "new" message again.

Alright. Back to basics here, how can I even check if I have access to this feature? Like I said, noticing a surprisingly "Bare" AUDIX/Intuity interface with the SA login.

At this point I'm wondering if I can even do this.

Humorous fact: The message that I was supposed to record was deleted by the gentlemen requesting the recording, now I can't undelete it, so this has become a "for future need" thread.
