Download JAVA Help descriptor NW 7.3 Management Console

Hello,

I'm testing an upgrade from 7.1.3 to 7.3 and have installed the Management Console. Everytime I start this console it comes with the message checking for updates and then it starts to download the JAVA Help descriptor. This takes a while. How can I stop this from happening over and over again.

I have never tried this myself but this is what seems to be plausible for Windows ...

In the registry, select
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
JavaSoft
Java Update
Policy

Then set "EnableAutoUpdateCheck" to 0.

Please give us a feedback.

Hi,

Sorry for the late response. The change of the registry didn't help. What I did was changed the ALgconsole.jnlp in the java cache. Changed the updates lines in that file from true to false.
