I reformatted an sd card because I thought the sd card might have been causing the 500 not to boot. It was formatted to 9.1 but I want the system to be at 9.0. Do I need to reformat the card to 9.0 before I downgrade the 500. Or am I ok to just do a downgrade to 9.0 and then have manager reformat the card as part of the downgrade?

A format wipes it completely, you need to recreate it afterwards to get a working system. Recreating will be faster than upgrading (really downgrading) to R9 but either will work :)

Thx!! My only problem is I'm running 9.1 on my laptop that has the built in sd card reader so I would have to uninstall/install. Trying to avoid that. Right don't want to format - need to get the verbiage right recreate. Format is bad...

So accept for it taking longer there is no harm in simply letting manger down/up (no idea what this was shipped at) then let manager simply upload the files to the card I should be ok?

No need to uninstall, just download the 9.0 BIN files and change the binary directory inside Manager preferences.

I guess where I'm going with this is someone mentioned to me that it's better to have the sd card at 9.0 before I proceed with this. All tho the ipo is already boot with the 9.1 sd card at this point it probably doesn't matter.

Nope doesn't matter what its at now. Recreate it to the version that you want.
