Double-click/right click - files/folders won't open.

Have a WinNT4.0 machine that when user double clicks on any desktop icon (shortcut, outlook, folder, etc)nothing happens. If you rt click and try to click on a menu item nothing happens as well. Also have tried single clicking to select an item then hit enter on the KB but still get no response - doesn't seen like a mouse problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Start with a good virus scan. There are several online scans available; e.g.

Follow with a good trojan scan. Download Spybot and run it:

Norton Corp Edition found machine clean - reimaged another PC for user. When she logs in again the same thing happens!! Ran NAV to be sure - clean. May be a user ID/profile problem.
