I am using a 7970 on SIP. I am trying to add the setting to make the phone ring twice for external calls and once for internal calls similar to Call Manager. Is there such a setting and can you tell me the line of code to add and if it should be under device config.xml?

Thanks in advance!

It is my understanding that you can only have one setting per DN. You can see it under DN configuration in the section labeled "Call Forward and Call Pickup Settings".

The setting is "No Answer Ring Duration".

Wait, are you using call manager?

Not using call manager at this location, its a remote site and we are using Pure SIP. We are using it on a MCS5100, yes by Nortel/Avaya. We loved the color phone and the Nortel color 1165E is relatively new, so we figured we'd give the Cisco phone a try on our system.

I really don't need the rings to vary, but it would be nice to adjust something in the SEP.cnf.xml code if it allowed it. I found out this isn't possible, at least on the Cisco 7970 end.
