Yes we still use 3d faces and hide (we have two old plotters) I am having a problem with hide and the sand hatch pattern, or dots in general when hide is on they all disappear. any ideas?

WICKERBSKT,
I have had similar problems when dimensioning solids that I would print in paperspace (viewing from the top) with the hide option on. The way I got around it was to move my dimension up in the z axis so that it was above my model, than when it hid the lines the dimensions were visible. I would say in model space look from one of the isometric views and move your hatch pattern up in the z-axis above the face that is hidding it, Or you could move your 3d face below the hatch pattern.
Hope this helps,
Joe
