Hello,

I have a Logenex Teledoorbell S-series with a C404CR Controller connected to an analog line port on an IPO 500 v2 6.1 combo card.

I would like to have the doorphone ring line 704 on the 1416 sets.

The sets will ring on an analog telephone line, but they won't ring with the doorphone.

Is the voltage too low? Are there any settings that are missing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Brent

Yes, I am annoyed. Doorphone works fine on the BCM.

What doorphone can I use? Avaya does not seem to have one for their system!

Have you confirmed that the doorphone will ring your test set? With a multimeter, you should be able to confirm ring voltage.

According to the docs...
PLEASE VERIFY THAT YOUR TELEPHONE SYSTEM COMPLIES WITH A TYPICAL 95
VOLTS RMS @ 20 Hz RING.

You did do this bit didn't you?

Next, how, and I mean what pins are connected between the C404CR and the IP Office?

Pins 4& 45 on the IPO need to go to 1 and 8 at the C404CR

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I asked about the line cord, seems he won't answer questions or take suggestions seriously :)

Thank you everyone for all of your help.

Yes, I have checked the cord and pins 4 & 5 are going to the IPO, and pins 1 & 8 are going to the controller.

I don't have a multimeter here to test the voltage.

The funny part is that controller will sometimes activate the green light on the 1416 set, but it will never ring.

I have tried with a butt set, single line set and on a Nortel BCM and the doorphone will ring each of these, but not on the IP Office. I am assuming that the voltage detection on the IPO is more than on any of the above.

Will have to get another doorphone.

Thanks again to all who have made the time to submit help and suggestions.

Have you got an analogue trunk to loop through the device?

Or alternatively, a spare alog exten on the IPO to loop through?

Tried looping a trunk through. Still won't ring.

Tried an analog ext. port. Still won't ring.

If it activates the light on telephone, then the IPO is seeing it. Are you SURE (sure) that you have an incoming call route set? Even with a direct ringing appearance, you still must have an ICR.
Mike

The light doesn't come on every time, only once in a while.

Incoming Call route is set. I can get the phone to ring on an analog line incoming call.

Did you try to change polarity on 4&5?

It works! Now if only I could remember what I did...

I just installed a door phone this week.
A door phone I never heard of. Connected to a trunk port.
Set up an incoming call route, destination a hunt group.
Added the phones I need to ring to the hunt group.
On the line, under the analoque tab change trunk type to loop start,
not loop start ICLID. ICLID causes a pause before phones ring.
Added buttons to the phones-action(group), action data(hunt group #)
When the call comes in, both the phones appearance button and group button flashes with ringing. Customer was happy!
In the past I have used the Viking door phone on an analog extension.
