You can put an Algo ringer on the set that the door phone rings to, just remember that any call that rings to it will also ring the to the ringer. Or you can use an ATA with an analog ringer and assign an Answer DN of ATA's extension to the set that rings now, in this way the set and ringer will ring when the door phone's button is pressed.
Phonehelp,
IF it is the Norstar Doorphone, it should be ringing to a target set. So am not clear about what the chimes would be. If Norstar door phone, Algo makes the following for it: AuxBox 4100 to which may be attached a ringer or strobe.
In a recent post an experienced tech reported the Norstar Door phone doesn't ring as a normal phone and he was unsuccessful with call route programing.
A Norstar Door Phone is set up to call a particular set, if that set is not answered within a certain number of rings it then pages PAGE ZONE 1, 2, 3 and plays a chime.
If you play music (feature 86) over your phone system and the music source output volume is set quite high. People will compensate by turning their phone volume down. This would make the page/chime seem quiet.
Also check that all the phones that you want to play the chime/page are set to the same PAGE ZONE as the door phone.
