There is no 'ordinary' door phone. There are many different kinds. For an ATA installation, use an analog phone that can autodial a number when it goes off hook and detects dial tone. A good example of this is an elevator phone. You can use a regular telephone set with the dial pad disabled as well and program the ATA's Hot Line auto dial. You could get a regular doorphone and program the ATA ext. to be a hotline. This will ring an ext. or hunt group as soon as the doorphone goes off-hook. Kevin Clear
