Hello,

I've got the the following issue:
We're having problems with OTM 2.0 software is not seeing the parallel port of the server.(not seeing the dongle)
This is a IBM X335 with no directly parallel port.
We bought a USB hub with a parallel port, if we connect a printer to it it says that's connect to a virtual parallel port.
The server does not have a 32 bits PCI slot, only 64 bits.
Anyone ideas ?

Hi,

One solution.... Buy a new PC with an onboard parallel port. OTM doesn't support Virtual Parallel ports....

And you Nortel doesn't support it either.... This is a quote of the General Release Bulletin for OTM 2.0:

UNSUPPORTED DONGLE (Security Device) CONFIGURATIONS

PCI-based parallel ports may have problems on certain operating systems. Compaq Proliant DL360R01 running Windows 2000 Server using a Lava PCI Bus Enhanced Parallel Port card is one such system. This configuration is not supported on OTM 2.0.
