Don´t laugh 1

Don´t laugh guys, you´ve all been there.

I am learning Flash from scratch. I have created a 20 frame motion sequence. I want the movie to stop at frame 1 (so that a button can start the movie). I have right click frame one of a new layer, click actions - clicked movie control and added the stop action to frame 1. I then play the movie and the movie goes right past frame 1 totally ignoring my stop action (I can see the "a" symbol in frame one. What am I doing wrong?

Actions are ignored when test on the "stage". Go to FILE->PUBLISH PREVIEW->FLASH to test your movie in a flash player.

There's always a better way. The fun is trying to find it!

hi all,

Thanks for the response guys. What i need is? i want to develop an application in flash which converts more than one SWF into an exe file.

Lets say, im going to create layouts, icons and BG's in flash and store it in a repository. All the objects stored are in SWF files. My application developed in flash should select the different layouts/icons/BG's and combine it to a exe format. Hope i explained it to you guys clearly.
