Greetings:
Have any of you implemented password changes in Domino (fat client and/or web)?
If so, what method did you use for this?
Any tips/tricks/experience/advice would be greatly appricated.
Thanks,
Charles

Best thing I did was implement the ID Vault in Domino 8.5. If you enable password change requirements, users with roaming profiles won't have to carry the most current ID file around - it'll get downloaded from the vault when it gets updated. The other thing I did was to publish a hyperlink to the iNotes password.nsf DB so users could easily change their iNotes password.

Thanks for the reply...
This is certainly a good feature...
I should have been more specific... I'm basically curious to know how (if) people use Notes (or some other mechanism) to force periodic password changes.
I know Domino didn't initially have this functionality but it seems it does now...
My concern is that changing the password in Notes isn't as 'upfront' say, as the Windows OS is when a password change is requred... Several menu selections are required.
Have you (or anyone else) tinkered with or implemented this?
Thanks!
Charles

I've played with it a little at an individual ID-file level, but I haven't yet turned it on within a global policy. The process has gotten better (older versions were horrific at it), but it still can be confusing for an end user - the biggest issue I've seen is confusion over the "Generate Password" button; it really should be labeled "Generate my password for me" instead.
