Domino Access for Outlook - shared contacts?

I just read a document on Lotus' website that indicated I can't share a contact list within Domino Access for MS Outlook. I really need this for my users, so I'm wondering what's the work-around? There's got to be some way of sharing a contact list, either as a contact list or an "address book" database on the Domino server. By the way, we're talking Domino Messaging Server Express R7 with Domino Access for MS Outlook 6.5.4., and Outlook 2003.

If I can make an "address book" database in Domino that can be accessed by the Outlook clients, perfect. If not, I may just drop back a notch and have my users make use of a simple Excel spreadsheet for shared contact info.

Do I have any ideas from the audience?

I know of no tools that let Notes read an Outlook contact list on the fly. I don't know about Outlook either, but a Notes db can be read via ODBC (if the corret permissions are set).

If you can, somehow, put an ODBC link in Outlook to the Notes NAB, you're home free.

Pmonett,

I'm not sure if you're reading the question correctly. Either that, or I'm misunderstanding your response. I've got Domino Access for Microsoft Outlook installed alongside Outlook 2003. Therefore, Outlook is the client to Domino 7. I'm not using Lotus Notes in any way. (By the way, now that I'm at work, I can actually try what I'm suggesting) I know I can access the Domain Address Book from Outlook, because of the connection back into the Domino 7 server, but can I gain similar access to another address book on the server? At the same time, that is?

Ahh, right. You're question is about the Domino Access package.
I've checked the documentation, and I found nothing in the description for configuring Outlook to read more than one address book.
Maybe someone else can tell you more, but I would have one question : do you use cascading NABs on the server ?

Pmonett,

Oh boy. Now we get to see just how limited my working knowledge of Domino is! YAY!

No, I don't use cascading NABs. Is this something like an address book inside an address book? Sort of a pre-deteremined group of addresses?

I'm not an admin, but I seem to recall that cascading NABs is what you set up to use the NABs of several different domains - whether said domains are inside the company or outside it.
Cascading the NABs allows the users to get the name of any of the users in the various domains.
The upgraded version of that is Directory Assistance. Maybe you could set that up and have Outlook get its addresses from there ?
