Hi,

I've set quotas for some mailboxes but nothing happens !!
Is there something special to do ?
When i open one of theses mailbox i can send, receive save mail even if i exceed the quota !

Any idea ?

Unfortunately the quotas and the warnings that can be set only elicit alerts to the log.nsf. If you would like to have the user who is over their quota to be notified by some mechanism then this would need to be done programatically.
I am pretty sure there are a number of 3rd party products that can do this. Also it is possible to write an agent that looks at either log.nsf or statrep (if set up) and highlight which users have breached or will reach their quota.

Once a quota has been established it does NOT prevent mail been sent/received although you should see an error on send that basically means it will not be stored in the Sent file.

Also if you have set a quota below the current mailbox size it will be totally ignored!

If you want to police quotas better you can use agents as posted on various web sites. For a start look at
