Domain Name and WWW Homepage Conflict

Our domain name is the same as our external

http://www homepage

i.e. Domain = redtomatoes

Hompepage =

http://www.redtomatoes.com

When we try and access the web page throught IE on a client machine we receive an error message. I have been informed that this is becaue of our domain name, but I was never told the solution.

We are unable to change the domain name of our network becaues all our our mail is placed directly on the server by our provider.

You will need to create an A record in your internal DNS for

http://www.redtomatoes.com

which points to the IP address of your web site. This will fix this problem but you may encounter others using the same domain name.
