Hello,
I am dealing with an issue of a web server running Win2K server in a DMZ. Problem is that this server needs to join the internal Active Directory. This server as well as my DC's all have NAT addresses. An LMHOSTS file was also imported. I can ping the DC's by name and IP and everything is fine. No WINS entry on the web server cuz it can't see them. I have checked and my infrastructure guru tells me that the PIX is configured open bi-directional for these three servers. Anybody have an idea on what I am missing??

Thanks,

Phil

The server is telling me that it cannot find the domain specified or the domain does not exist. There is a Host record for the Web server and the web server is using a preferred DNS server in it's IP settings.

what is the preferred DNS setting? Your ISP? You'll need to have the web server point to your internal DNS (AD) to resolve the necessary records for joining the domain.
