Just recently installed 15 new computers. On 2 of the new computers it is taking up to 3 minutes to login. All other computers hit the domain in a few seconds. I have renamed the computers, created new users, installed a workgroup and then ran the wizard for setting up the domain. With the same response. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are your DNS settings? Win2k is very dependent upon a working DNS server on your Intranet, and the clients pick up that DNS info either from DHCP, or you point them directly to that DNS box.

Hope that helps.

Do your client machines also use NW Link to access Novell servers? We have had issues with some of our pc (mostly the ones using Intel network cards) not auto detecting the frame type for IPX/SPX as fast as it should. In our case we only use 802.3, so we have been changing the settings on the client pc's to force 802.3. I'm not sure if it will apply to you, but may help. ---------------------------------------
