I have Windows 2003 Small Business Premium running on a server. I set the server up to be a domain controller. I have several computers on the network running Windows XP Pro and that all logon to the domain. I successfully added each machine to the new domain. Suddenly, the machines are not seeing the domain when users try to logon. It appears that when credentials are supplied, the machines all use cached information (really slow logon). As a result, they no longer map drives to the new server. When I try to reconnect the drives it asks for login info, suppling the user account for the system fails due to not being able to contact the domain controller on the initial login.

Any ideas? Thank you!

i would try to rejoin the client computers to the domain again. i usually use the network identification wizard to join the domain.

Do you mean remove the client from the domain and then add it back again?

From your system properties, click Computer Name | Network ID. Follow the wizard to restablish the trust relationship of the client machine to the server.
