hello,
I can't add the computer to the domain because the Domain field is not showing up under "system properties" > "computer name changes"

where can i turn this function on???

Are You sure the O.S. is Windows XP Pro and not Home, Home doesn't allow the computer to be joined to a domain, only a workgroup.
